Vocational College SAMIedu will be closed starting from 18.3. This applies to all the departments.
This is because of the government policy recommendations for providers or early childhood education and care, pre-primary education, primary and lower secondary education, general upper secondary education, vocational education, higher education, liberal education and basic art education in order to slow down the spread of coronavirus infections. Teaching and guidance will be organised as widely as possible in alternative ways.
SAMIedu has prepared for providing distance learning and instructions and assignments are organised by using various digital learning environments.
Teachers and HOKS supervisors will contact students and inform then on how studies are organised.
School canteens will be closed from 18.3 onwards and school has no obligation for providing free lunch for students. Student residences will be closed too, residents are required to leave the apartments on Friday 20.3.
Students taking part in work placement outside school will continue as usual, if the employer and SAMIedu feel it’s safe. Vocational skills demonstrations are organised if possible.
We will update on the situation on a regular basis, as well as inform our students and staff.
We will report regularly on the current situation as needed.
